- Tap Tempo: Tap the hand icon repeatedly to set tempo by feel
- Play/Stop: The large green button starts and stops the metronome

- Subdivisions: Quarter notes, eighth notes, sixteenth notes, or triplets
Beat Accents & Muting
Tap any beat indicator at the top to cycle through states:
- Normal: Regular click sound
- Accented: Louder, higher-pitched click (filled circle)
- Muted: Silent beat (dashed circle)
Use this to create custom accent patterns or practice specific rhythmic figures.
Gap Trainer
The Gap Trainer helps you develop your internal sense of time by periodically muting the metronome.
Access it from the ⋯ menu and configure:
- Normal bars: How many bars the metronome plays
- Muted bars: How many bars of silence follow
The pattern repeats: play → silence → play → silence. Try to keep steady time during the silent sections!
Progressive Mode
Enable Progressive Mode to make the gaps automatically grow longer each cycle. Configure:
- Add Bars: How many extra muted bars to add each cycle (1-4)
- Max Muted: The maximum number of muted bars before the pattern resets
This gradually increases the challenge as you practice, helping you build confidence with longer silences.
Tempo Changer
Gradually increase tempo over time to push your limits progressively.
Access it from the ⋯ menu and configure:
- BPM Increment: How much to increase (1-10 BPM)
- Interval Mode: Increase every N bars, or every N seconds
- Target BPM: Optionally set a maximum tempo to stop at
Great for building speed on exercises or working up to a target tempo.
